Clermont, Iowa has recently undergone a rejuvenation to make it one of Northern Iowa's premier day trip destinations. Walking down Mill Street is like walking into the past. Clermont has always rejected fast food restaurants and chain stores with their plastic signs and glowing neon in favor of the brick buildings and street lights that have been on Mill Street for more than 100 years. Go antiquing, visit our museum and take a walking tour to learn about Clermont’s Civil War past, take advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds Clermont (bike trails, camp grounds, hunting, fishing, and canoeing), or just enjoy a good meal at one of our restaurants. Clermont also hosts a Civil War re-enactment every summer.
